Despite the recent publicity regarding many older persons being penalised for their loyalty, it does not appear that much is being done about it - I hope someone will prove me wrong soon. This has remained an area that I rattles my cage, the very people who need extra help to review these services are those that get the least help and worst deal.
The younger generation know all about the various 'compare' sites online that one can use to find the best deal for our gas, electric, telephone, broadband, mobile, insurance etc, but this is not necessarily quite so accessible to seniors. Not everyone has access to the internet or if they do, they are so fearful of it due to so many scams and fraudsters that they dare not sign up to anything on the internet for fear of being scammed in some way. Yet this is the only way to find the best deals that can save you hundreds of pounds a year.
So if you know how this all works, then have you discussed this recently with your parents, aunts, uncles etc, can you help them get a better deal? If you don't know how this works then I can help you review them.
The bottom line is that if you have not changed your supplier or the package in the last year, you are almost certainly paying over the odds. Don't for one second think that because you have been a loyal customer of a well known big supplier that you are being looked after - you aren't!
